Your SPF is doing half the work โ€” here's the other half

A simple AM routine that protects your glow without sticky, white-cast nightmares.

If you care about skin health, the morning routine has one non-negotiable: sunscreen. UV is the single biggest cause of premature ageing, uneven tone, and undone serum work. But SPF on its own is not a complete routine.

Start with a gentle, low-pH cleanser. You want to remove overnight sweat and oil without stripping the barrier. Skip foaming sulfate cleansers if your skin runs dry or sensitive.

Apply your serum on damp skin. A few drops, pressed in gently. Let it sink for sixty seconds โ€” this is non-negotiable, because layering anything on top of un-absorbed serum is what creates pilling and stickiness, especially in humid weather.

Follow with a lightweight moisturiser. In humid climates, gel-creams beat heavy occlusives โ€” they support the barrier without sealing in sweat.

Then SPF 30 or higher, broad-spectrum, applied generously. The single biggest mistake people make is under-applying. You need roughly two finger-lengths for face and neck. Reapply every two to three hours if you are outdoors.

This is the entire morning. Five steps, under three minutes, and the foundation of any radiance and even-tone result worth having.
